About GFT: Press Releases
GFT Adds Field Sales Office In AustraliaADA, Mich., July 11, 2005 - Global Forex Trading (GFT), a world–leading provider of real–time currency dealing, pricing and comprehensive services for retail and institutional foreign exchange traders, announced today that it will begin operating a field office in Sydney, Australia. As the first GFT office in Australia and the fourth sales office the company has opened since early 2004, it will serve to house GFT’s expanding sales operations for the Pacific Rim. “We’ve encountered a very high interest of Australian traders who prefer to trade foreign exchange because they like the market better than traditional trading markets,” said Gary L. Tilkin, president and CEO, Global Forex Trading. Overseeing the day–to–day sales operations and staff at GFT’s Australia office is Guy Gengle, vice president of Asia–Pacific sales, Global Forex Trading. Previously, Gengle served as vice president, dealing and corporate risk management and will now head GFT’s Asia sales and new business development – except for in Japan where GFT already owns and operates a sales office. “Mr. Gengle established our 24–hour dealing operation with a reputation for superior service, and I am confident he will do the same with the new office in Australia,” said Tilkin. Global Forex Trading has hired local salespersons, called forex specialists, to staff the office and offer free one–on–one training to those interested in the forex market. The training, conducted over the Internet and telephone, is offered to introduce those interested to online foreign exchange trading and to Global Forex Trading’s award–winning currency trading software, DealBook® FX 2. The foreign exchange market has become the world’s largest financial market, with a daily dollar volume turnover exceeding $1.9 trillion US dollars (about 2.5 trillion AUD). Global Forex Trading has been licensed with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission since 2003. Traders can trade the foreign exchange market 24 hours a day, 5.5 days a week by getting a free market trial at www.gftforex.com.
